The grand opening of the Baku Illusion Museum, adding a new dimension to Azerbaijan’s tourism and cultural sector, was held today in the historic area of the capital, within the territory of the İçərişəhər State Historical-Architectural Reserve. Located at 46 Muslim Magomayev Street, this unique venue was created to offer visitors a completely new way to experience the boundary between reality and imagination through an interactive illusion concept presented for the first time in the country.
The opening ceremony was attended by the leadership of the İçərişəhər State Historical-Architectural Reserve, members of the National Assembly, renowned artists, media representatives, and numerous guests interested in the magical world of illusions.
During the event, Rüfət Mahmud, Chairman of the Board of the İçərişəhər State Historical-Architectural Reserve, stated that the creation of such innovative spaces enhances İçərişəhər’s tourism potential and brings new color to the cultural life of the capital. He noted that the museum promises a unique and memorable experience for both local residents and foreign tourists.
Spanning three floors and 20 themed rooms, the museum offers visual effects and brain-teasing experiences that challenge visitors’ perceptions. Unique spaces such as the Ames Room, Infinity Room, Mirror Maze, Vortex Tunnel, 3D Illusions, and Perspective Rooms provide guests with both entertaining and educational experiences. Professional guides offer services in Azerbaijani, Russian, and English, ensuring that visitors of all ages, local and international, enjoy an informative and comfortable tour.
The museum’s top-floor terrace and café allow guests to relax and enjoy the enchanting views of İçərişəhər after experiencing the illusions, while sampling a variety of drinks. With its modern design and positive atmosphere, the Baku Illusion Museum aims to become a new city attraction for families and young people, offering ideal conditions for photography and video.
By enriching Baku’s cultural heritage and tourism potential, this project holds a special place on Azerbaijan’s tourism map as the region’s first and only center dedicated to illusions.
